New or redesigned equipment is a great idea, but what's the point if your people don't know how to use it?
We can help with this too. We'd love to come teach your staff and volunteers how to run your equipment better. It doesn't matter if it's a system we put in or not. Sometimes what you already have is capable of doing what you want - its just that no one knows how! While we won't pretend to know everything about every piece of equipment out there, we can certainly help you better understand what you have and how to utilize it better or even set it up better. Concepts that are better understood can often be the little kick you need to get over the hump that's holding you back rather than the intricate details of a particular piece of gear.
Our approach to training isn't simply shoving facts and figures down your throat in a classroom setting, but rather sitting down with your people answering questions and teaching concepts. We want your people to take some ownership in their positions and do some work on their own so they can "figure out" how some of their stuff works with some guidance. Doing - rather than simply watching and listening. This is a far better approach in our minds and is longer lasting. Think about the last time you sat through an hour of training simply listening and watching. How much of what was said or shown do you remember? Now think about the last time you spent an hour with hands on DOING. How much of what you did - asking questions as you went - do you remember? We're guessing you remember a lot more and are much more confident in what you know. This is what we want to see: people with the confidence to go forward and make their ministry and it's equipment their own - and hopefully have the ability to share their knowledge with the next generation of volunteers within their church. We don't want you to be dependent on us to always teach your people (although we will gladly help where needed).
